The Power of Words

Hmmm... thought provoking clip. A clever way to convey its message, one that I wholeheartedly agree with -- and more importantly, have ample evidence to support it ;-) However it is also true that the clip relies heavily on the power of images to convey it.

Loved hearing the blind man's accent!

Paz, yes, the images do powerfully reinforce the message.

Sphinx, it is so touching, I find I keep thinking about it.

Barbara, brilliantly conceived and beautifully executed, isn't it?

Charles, I've been trying to analyze why it worked so well. These people are obviously very good at what they do.

Essex, I noticed that over two million people had watched it on You Tube!

Wow, beautiful and touching, yes. And my thoughts skitter (somewhat shamefully) in odd directions:

Commercials like that are why adverfolk get paid so damn much.

I'm still not going to engage that company's services, though I *am* tempted.

Wish I was that good at marketing...

And finally:

When she returned, I was expecting the woman to empty his jar and take 15% of his coins.

Or, if she was a Big Six publisher, take 85% for helping him reach a wider audience!

LIke I said, somewhat shameful my thoughts... ;)

Steve, the person who came up with this is truly brilliant. It's not often that an advertisement goes viral.

Orannia, it is haunting.
