Radio Interview on WWNO

I'll be doing an interview onTuesday, 24 February, with Susan Larson on The Reading Life, talking about the next Sebastian St. Cyr mystery, Who Buries the Dead. If you live in New Orleans, you can listen to it at 1:30 p.m. Central Time at WWNO 89.9. It will also be rebroadcast this Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at noon. If you're not in New Orleans, you can listen to it live stream by going to http://wwno.org/listen. You'll also be able to go to the website and find a link to the podcast on the lower right section of the page.

In other news, I've been working on the outline for the twelfth Sebastian St. Cyr book, Where the Dead Lie, although I'm still not quite ready to sit down and write yet.  I've also been doing a ton of interviews and guest blogs for various sites, and I'll be posting those when they go up.

And I'm gearing up to head out on my book tour next week. Just seven days until Who Buries the Dead hits the stores!

I will definitely be tuning in either to the podcast or the live streaming, or trying to anyway. I'm not exactly very adept with technology. I think it hates me.

Will you be going out on book tour alone or is your husband going with you? In either case, I look forward to seeing you during your Houston stop.

Safe travels!

Veronica, I have the same issues. And yes, I will be alone on the book tour; Steve needs to stay home and take care of the cats! My younger daughter has chosen the same week to go visit her sister, so he'll also have HER cat to tend, as well.

Well, no surprise, I was not able to figure out how to listen to your interview on my phone and my work computer blocks any streaming media. I will try again for either the Friday night or the Sunday afternoon replay (when either my husband or, shame of shames, my teenage kids can help me).

P.S. So Steve will be on cat sitting duties, huh? Well, when you return home things will either be peachy keen or else you'll find Steve tied to a chair and Indie having taken over the street block.

Veronica, I think the podcast is up now, if you can find it. And yes, poor Steve! He'll be doing it again in June when Danielle and I take off for London.

I've downloaded the podcast and am looking forward to listening to it today while I am out and about (I credit podcasts and audiobooks with keeping me sane as I drive around in between patients). Looking forward to the book release this week, and especially looking forward to meeting you in Portland!

(for some reason Google isn't letting me in this morning!)

I am so sorry I will miss the book tour but I plan to try my technology skills and find the interview. Good luck to me. I am all set for my book auto
download on my kindle March 3rd! And then I should have my hardcover shortly thereafter. I can't believe we've waited a year! Best Ali

Lol at the image of Indie having tied your husband up to run amuck. I'm getting the kindle version on the day it releases so I will hopefully have had time to read it by the time you are in Seattle. Will pick up my preordered hard copy at the signing. I know it is your last stop and you'll be exhausted. Hopefully you'll have time to see a little of the city. Let me know if I can help in any way while you are in Seattle. Don't know if I'm more excited about the new release or getting to meet you. Safe travels!!! Sabena

C- so i'm not the techno idiot i thought. i was able to listen to the interview. Seems like you have another big fan there in Susan Larson. Even though i wont have a face to face it was nice to hear your voice. Safe travels and have fun! I will keep good thoughts for Steve and his intrepid companions. Best, Ali

I don't have the technology for this, it would have been nice to hear your voice. I often wonder what kind of accent you have, since you have lived in so many different places. The good news is, I just got an email to say that my pre-order of 'Why Kings Confess' has been shipped, before March 3rd, which was the quoted date! Can't wait to get it!

Just listened to the interview...most gruesome book yet, huh? I can't wait. You mentioned that you had completely outlined Sebastian's personal story but some parts had changed over time. At some point, if you can without giving anything away, you'll have to share with us what changes oh made and why. Decapitated heads, slavery, Jane Austen, baby Simon; I just can't wait. It sounds simply delicious. Sabena

I was finally able to listen to the interview and I agree with Sabena, the book sounds awesome. I'd also love to hear more about some of the changes to Sebastian's personal life that you decided to alter or scrap altogether.

RevMelinda, I'm really looking forward to it!

Ali, so sorry I won't be meeting you.

Susan, after reading your comment, I listened to it a second time, just to hear my own accent. I was surprised to realize I still do that odd, rising-inflection-in-mid-sentence Aussie thing, but otherwise I think these days I sound generic American.

Sabena, I will have the afternoon free to explore. I have been to Seattle since I was in my 20s!

Veronica, I think the main difference from my original plan is that it is taking me much longer to get through the personal arc. That, plus I honestly had not planned Jamie Knox until Dr. McCain just happened to mention this other guy with yellow eyes...
