A Wonderful Saturday

Saturday was my first FALCONS book signing, at Garden District Book Store here in New Orleans. Thanks to everyone who turned out; it was a lot of fun.

Steve, Danielle and I then went and walked around the Big Lake at City Park. The weather was glorious and the tulips were still in bloom. Tulips do not grow naturally here in New Orleans and need to be dug up and refrigerated.  But since I grew up in colder climes where spring meant tulips and daffodils, it was wonderful seeing them. We then went out to dinner and I had a decadent desert.

All in all a wonderful day!

I just LOVE tulips. My favorite trip was when we went to Paris in springtime and the tuileries gardens were full of every kind imaginable. It was breathtaking. So glad to hear the signing went well - but how could it not? Fans of Sebastian, et al, clamoring to hear you speak about the books/plots about him. I haven't re-read Falcons yet for the 2nd time. Will probably do that when I have a couple of leisure days to savor and enjoy. Hope the other signings are fun for you as well. Sabena

Oh, Candy - the tulips are wonderful - and what great pictures of them. Danielle's handiwork or yours? Our tulips are barely 6 inches above ground and I'm just starting the raking of debris from November's wind storm.

The signing sounds fun and I have to say - the first 10 chapters are terrific! As usual, you've pulled me in immediately!

Candy - I'm so envious of all those people who could attend your book signing! Although I would have had my hand in the air so many time you probably would have tossed me out. Like Sabena I'm waiting for a lull to re-read Falcons and this time with the hardcover. The Tulips are beautiful! - living in a city like Hoboken not too many public gardens. I miss that. And if dessert is not decadent - why bother! Get the most out of every bite! Best, Ali

Sabena, yes, the tulips in Tuileries are wonderful!

Lynne, yes, they're my pictures, although Danielle took a ton, too. There's nothing she loves to photograph more than flowers.

Ali, it would have been fun. And I so agree about dessert!

Moscow, Idaho, 1972. I remember that the sunshine was rather orange that year, wasn't
it? Glad to see you are doing well. A fellow traveler.

I love this new book. I love the Sebastian St. Cyr amily. His son and Hero are so adorable. So much Sebastian's past are revealed, but I wonder, maybe we get to see more of Hero's past. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a excellent job.

Candy, this post has a duel purpose. First of all, Betty S., Suzanne and I just finished Falcons and absolutely loved it. But secondly, neither of these ladies are able to get on your site today - they both keep getting a message that says "SiteLock" and they can't access it. I am having no trouble so we are mystified. Suzanne is in Australia and Betty is in Virginia - my thought was that Google might be down somewhere but I'm guessing. Can you investigate? Or have whomever is in charge of your blog? I'm wondering if anyone else is having trouble...???

Anon, aw, couldn't you even leave a first name?!

Nana Qiu, thanks so much.

Lynne, sorry I didn't see this sooner. Is this still happening? I know that some Blogger sites were having international issues. Let me know if it's still a problem.
