Kitten Update

Yes, they're still here. All of them. They turn four months tomorrow.

We've found a friend to adopt the mama cat and one of the kittens (Peanut, the dainty, apricot-colored runt of the litter who's off doing her own thing, as usual), but he won't be taking possession until after he returns from a trip to South America later in the month. My daughter, Sam, wants to keep Whiskies, the sweetheart with the white markings on the left (she'll be adding him to the three black rescue cats she already has). That still leaves us with Peaches (the one sleeping in the back--Peaches is always sleeping) and Roscoe (the handsome adventurer on the right). The problem is, the longer we have them the more attached we become. They are sooo cute!

  1. Wish I could help.
But I adopted a German Shepherd rescue from Lake Charles shelter earlier this year. And a German Shepherd rescue from Pasadena, TX pound the year before.

  2. Pretty kitties. I wish I could help too but I live a little bit too far away *grin* and I have an elderly cat who required a lot of TLC. (However, he was at the vet yesterday and has put on weight - the vet was amazed!).

  3. This problem... I like this problem. Worse things in life than being attached to a pair of super-adorable kittens! :)

  5. Lainey, that's the main problem we're having--all our friends already have too many rescue animals.

Orannia, glad to hear your elderly cat is improving. Give him a hug for me.

Steve, thanks for putting it into perspective! Although when it comes time to pack everyone up and evacuate for a hurricane...

Charles, I think Peaches would look really pretty with a big red Christmas bow on her collar.

  6. Peaches would be my choice! Reminds me of my vet's office cat who's always sleeping on top of the front counter but appropriates the receptionist's warmed chair any time she walks away.
