Finished!

The manuscript for When Maidens Mourn is finished and sitting in my editor's inbox, ready for her to open on Monday morning.

I have a bunch of interviews lined up this week that I'll be posting, but at the moment I am exhausted and in serious need of sleep! Night all.

  4. Barnes & Noble shipped "Where Shadows Dance" to my home this past week. I just finished reading it last night and really enjoyed the book. I especially liked the interactions between the two main characters.

I can't believe that I have to wait another year for the next installment. I'm hooked on this series.

  8. I'm SO envious of everyone who received their copies of Shadows over the weekend. I'm having to wait for a hard drop date since I ordered through my local indie because I wanted to buy through them.

So I spent the weekend reading THE PARIS WIFE (fabulous, for anyone looking for a rec) and waiting.

Congrats, Candy, on finishing Maidens! Sleep! You've earned it!

I am very jealous of everyone who has already received their copies. I will probably stay up all night reading my copy when I get it- like I did with What Remains of Heaven. The books are fabulous and I really enjoy them. Congrats on finishing Number 7 and go do something fun for yourself- you deserve it!

  12. Woot!! that's fantastic!! another Sebastian St Cyr to come for sure!! *happy dance*
If I remember well you said Kat will have a bigger role/presence in this one than in the 2-3 previous ones, is that right? (as long as it's not a bad thing for my devlin/hero love, I'm happy for her :))

I bought "where shadows dance" on Amazon but I have to wait TWO WEEKS to get it here *pouts* I tried to buy too the ebook but apparently it's not available with my country (france), I'm crushed, I soooo want to read it right now!!!:) I'm totally jealous of everyone reading it now :)

congrats again for a new book finished, I'm totally in love with this series & you're a great & prolific author!! <3

  13. Congratulations. I just picked up "Where Shadows Dance" this morning at Barnes & Noble. I started reading it on my lunch break-- I don't want to put it down! However my boss would not appreciate it if I didn't get back to work.

I can't wait to read "When Maidens Mourn". Thanks for writing another book in the series.

  14. Thanks, Liz. I actually went to bed and read. Haven't read a book in weeks.

Rachel, thanks. This one is I think scheduled for next March.

Charles, I hope you enjoy it!

Jes, Yes, B&N were naughty boys. I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Dana, thanks. This was one deadline I really pushed.

  15. Steve, I hope you enjoy it.

Firefly, thank you. I told my husband he needs to buy me a lobster dinner this week end. I'm going to buy him a bottle of wine; he deserves it.

Barbara, thanks. I'm a big believer in supporting independent bookstores. Maybe with Borders closing, more will survive--not that I am happy about seeing Borders close.

Pax Deux, Amazon is good about observing release dates.

    Anon, thank you.

Chen, does it help if I tell you that book #8 is slated to be released about 8 months after Maidens?

  16. Nana, Thank you. I have heard that ebooks don't sell outside of certain areas. France never has bought the series.

Jane, glad to hear you're enjoying it.

  17. 8mos between book 7 and 8? Do I hear 5mos? - LOL!!

I'll take the 8mos because I have a love/hate relationship with the Sebastian series. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE reading it and I hate that I go thru each book so fast. :-)
