WHY KINGS CONFESS Receives a Starred, Boxed PW Review!

I've just heard that the Publishers Weekly review of Why Kings Confess is out, and it's a starred, boxed review complete with a picture of the book's cover! Wow.

I haven't actually seen it yet, but I'm told it reads, in part, “The past casts a long shadow in Harris’s best Regency whodunit yet…Harris  melds mystery and history as seamlessly as she integrates developments in her lead’s personal life into the plot.”

Needless to say, my editor is very excited. I'll let you know when I receive the entire review. Oh, and that's a picture of one of the cover flats I received this past week. So I should be getting the actual books soon.

I still show a March 4 ship date on Amazon. Any chance it will come sooner?

Sue, I guess I should have said I should be getting my box of the actual books soon. March 4 is still the release date, although NAL doesn't control my laydown very well, so it may be available a few days early.

So if I came over to your house and begged nicely, maybe I could get a book early?

Just kidding, although I am a very good proof reader, if you needed one.

Congrats! It's nothing your fans don't already know but it is well earned praise nonetheless. I can't wait to read it! Fingers crossed that we meet baby Devlin and find out who was right about gender. *grin*

Congrats to you, and most deservedly so!!! High praise, indeed. What a thrill for you, and for us, readers too! We are all chomping at the bit-March 4th can't come soon enough! Let the countdown begin.....Any (new) news about book tours and associated events?

Sue, at this stage, good proof readers scare me! It never ceases to amaze me the things we miss, in every book.

SandyH, thank you!

mk, that's wonderful to hear. Thank you!

Veronica, thank you! And believe me, I wouldn't dare let poor Hero be pregnant any longer.

Louise, thank you!

LOgalinOR, it is a tremendous relief. And I must admit I'd never even heard of a "boxed" review. I haven't heard of any tour yet. To be frank, I don't know how I could do one with the kittens...

Huzzah! Kudos galore! Sorry I missed this yesterday, but I will tell you that I have already pre-ordered my copy and am waiting breathlessly.

I cannot wait to read this book!!! The book looks fantastic, and the reviewer is clearly enthusiastic. Congratulations. Now, if we could just find a way to make March arrive sooner this year...

Rachel, thank you!

Imhess, thanks. It does seem as if this book has been a long time in coming, for some reason, even though it's the same release date as always.

Barbara, that's great to hear, thank you!

Paz, I need time to go S-L-O-W because these revisions of WHO BURIES THE DEAD are giving me fits!

Many congratulations! I'm telling myself that it's nearly February and then March is just a month away!

Excellent, excellent. That sounds quite nice!

Congratulations!
And please swing by the Pacific Northwest - bring the kittens! I will happily take care of them while you greet the masses. There are a lot of us Sebastian fans and I am sure that we can find enough nursemaids to watch the kitties - if they are strong enough to travel, of course.
Cannot wait for March

Wonderful news, Candy--so well deserved. I am eagerly awaiting March 4 with WKC pre-ordered on my Nook. So glad Hero's long, long pregnancy will soon be over...

Congratulations!!! That is great news and very well deserved.

It is going to be even harder to wait for the book for me as although I have pre-ordered it, it is going to take 10-15 working days to make its way to Australia. I was hoping that the publisher would arrange for a worldwide release on the same day, as many of them do, but in this case they haven't. It is not going to be available on kindle here straight away either. What Darkness Brings came out here in December, so I think it will be a very long wait for the kindle here.

So two more months to wait for me. I am going to have to be very strong and not look at this website until late March in case there are lots of comments on it, as I don't want to know what happens until I can read it.

All the very best wishes for a big, success on the release.

Yes, absolutely agree with Essex! There would me more than enough 'nursemaids' here in the Pacific Northwest to take care and watch over the kitties. 'Famous, acclaimed author does book tour with large entourage of........'

Helena, thank you!

Ali, my lips are sealed...

Charles, it was definitely a surprise.

Essex, I think we may actually be losing Banjo. It is going to break my heart; he's become my little sweetheart.

RevMelinda, thank you. How long has poor Hero been pregnant now?!

Suzanne, thank you. I wonder why they do that with Australia? I'll have to ask. It's so frustrating. I'm sorry.

LOgalinOR, that would be quite an entourage!

Essex said...

I am so sorry to hear about banjo. I hope that he pulls through.

Vanessa said...

Congrats! It's well deserved. I can't wait for WKC. Far-reaching the whole series to catch myself up again and anxiously awaiting the birth of their baby.

Hi Candy,

I recently discovered your books and have devoured all of them. Then I discovered that your new book "Why Kings Confess" was due to be published. Bliss! I went to buy it for my e-reader and discovered that it is not available for readers in Australia at the moment. I'm so sad and frustrated. Everyone else is going to discover the sex of the baby before me :0). If you have any influence on release dates to Australia I'd appreciate your intervention. Thanks for the great stories - you make history interesting.
